What is psoriasis ?

Psoriasis affects around 2% of people in the UK, and usually develops in adults when they are under 35 years old. The root cause of it is unknown but it’s thought to be an immune response. The reproduction of skin cells speeds up and instead of reproducing them every 3 – 4 weeks, people with psoriasis reproduce skin cells in 3 – 7 days. This causes the inflamed skin.

Common symptoms include:

  • Dry skin
  • Itchy skin
  • Flaky skin
  • Patchy/red skin
  • Scaling spots
  • Burning
  • Soreness
Experts do not know everything there is to know about psoriasis, but many say it’s linked to the health of your gut and sufferers have seen improvements upon changing their diet, often switching their foods for those which are lower in histamine. Histamine itself can cause inflammation on the skin, and eating trigger foods can cause the body to release histamine as a response. This is in addition to histamine contained in food.

How does Toxaprevent help?

Toxaprevent PLUS Sachets absorb and eliminate histamine, ammonium and heavy metals (lead and mercury) from the digestive tract. This reduces the amount of histamine which is free to cause inflammation on the skin. Taking out toxins before the body must deal with them also has a positive effect on the immune system. Overall, Toxaprevent contributes to an improved immune system and better gut health.

Toxaprevent SKIN Suspension can also be used for treating the symptoms of psoriasis on the skin. It penetrates deep beneath the surface of the affected area and absorbs histamine and the environmental toxins lead and mercury. These are then removed from the skin, alleviating the inflammation.

Toxaprevent SKIN Suspension can be applied to the affected area for up to 2 hours, twice a day maximum, using the medical foil provided to keep the suspension moist. Use only on closed skin.

Mix the contents of 1 Toxaprevent PLUS Sachet into 300ml of water and drink daily, ideally before bed. If required, take one more sachet in the morning.
