Histamine Intolerance | Histamine Overload | Histamine Detox & Protocol

Hello, I have recently come across your product and have purchased a box of the Toxaprevent Medi Plus sachets and the Toxaprevent Medi Pure tablets. I suffer from histamine intolerance and have been adjusting my diet to help alleviate symptoms now for the last few years. However I still periodically suffer from histamine overload symptoms if I have had to eat food I have not prepared myself or if I have over filled my histamine bucket through overdoing the tasty treats. I have noticed that the leaflet says to take these 30 minutes before a meal, however the information on your website says for histamine intolerance they should be taken differently, after food and before bed. Could someone please help me to confirm the procedure for me taking these products? I am most definitely histamine intolerant and so I am wanting to take them for histamine removal from my meals. Any additional benefits from other toxin removal is a secondary desire.

Can I take the sachet and capsules before bed at the same time? Is that not too high a dose?

Yes, you can take both the Toxaprevent Sachets and Toxaprevent Capsules before bed at the same time. No, the histamine detox protocol is designed to mop up histamine as you sleep. Toxaprevent is the only Zeolite Clinoptilolite that is proven to be safe even in long-term use. As the particle size (6-10 microns) is optimised to stay only in the gut where it will mop the toxins up and then leave the body with the toxins when you pass bowel movement. We recommend staying hydrated, and continue to eat plenty of fibrous foods to help with stool formation. 

Are the pills still efective if I cannot swallow them and open and take the content instead?

You can not open the Toxaprevent Medi Pure Capsules as the capsule shell is designed to protect the MANC allowing it to enter the intestines and colon. The Toxaprevent Medi Plus Sachets are a powder form designed to work in the Upper GI and can be mixed in water and drank. If you struggle to swallow the capsules, you can switch to only the sachets but it may take longer for them to be effective as the Toxaprevent sachets are designed for the Upper GI.

Is it important to eat 1hr after taking the first dose? Or is it that there needs to be at least a 1hr gap between taking and eating? ie can I take first thing in the morning, but have my first food at lunchtime?

When taking Toxaprevent it is not important to eat. You can use Toxaprevent whilst fasting, and it is safe and very supportive to do so. 

Is it OK to take the first dose of the day an hour before lunch? Or does it need to be taken in the morning?

Yes, it's completely fine to adjust the Toxaprevent protocol for histamine intolerance (Overload) to fit your routine. Just ensure you take Toxaprevent away from food, as this will ensure Toxaprevent binds to the toxins in the gut rather then from the food.

I've read that you need to leave 2 hours between taking medication and Toxaprevent. However, I take Levothyroxine first thing in the morning for my thyroid, so do I need to leave 2 hours before the first dose which means waiting 3 hours before I can eat? That's not feasible for me as I need to eat breakfast or I get low blood sugar. Or is there another way I can do it?

So, you can two things here:

You can have your levothyroxine and eat then take Toxaprevent 2 hours after the medication and food. It's fine to adjust the protocol to fit your lifestyle, so eating and having medication before then take Toxaprevent before the morning dosage is not a problem.

I had my gallbladder removed and I have low stomach acid. I since have gotten SIBO and Histamine Intolerance. Can Toxaprevent make my stomach too alkaline?

Nope it will not alkalise the stomach acid. Though the Toxaprevent Medi Plus Sachets contain magnesium and calcium carbonate it is a very low dosage and is purely added into prevent the Zeolite Clinoptilolite in MANC from being broken down by the stomach acid and also binding to oxalates and salicylates. The Toxaprevent Medi Pure Capsules bind to toxins such as histamine in the lower GI and has no impact on the stomach acid, the capsules open once they reach the intestines.

Toxaprevent actually works like a pH buffer to balance stomach. As it reduces ammonium (a by product of protein breakdown and also released by helicobacter pylori). Ammonium alkalises stomach acid, Toxaprevent mops this up and allows the stomach acid to balance. In addition, Toxaprevent removes histamine which can also be a trigger for acid reflux.

The detox plan says 2 hours after the final meal of the day take both Pure Capsules and Plus Sachet each with 300ml water; can this be one single 300ml of water or must it be 600ml water (=2x300ml) ?

We recommend the full 600ml as the Toxaprevent for the histamine detox protocol needs the water to transport through the system. However, we know it can be a pain to drink the higher water dosage, so we have quite a few customers who will ensure they keep hydrated throughout the day and then take the final dosage with less water. Upon waking, they will ensure they drink at least 500ml.

Another solution is to switch the dosage and take the 3 x capsules 1 hour before your final meal of the day and then the sachet at night before bed.

Do I need to stay on a low histamine diet while taking toxaprevent?

That is your choice. We recommend removing as many of your histamine triggers as reasonably as possible, as that initially support with reducing your initial histamine symptoms. Toxaprevent will mop up and balance the histamine as you take it daily.

How often can you do the detox?

As long as you need, you can take Toxaprevent daily. The active ingredient only stays in the gut, once it binds to the toxins it leaves the body with them in your stool. You can not build a tolerance to Toxaprevent as it is inert. It doesn't have an effect other then mopping up toxins and leaving. We joke, it's like the bodies garbage truck, packing up all the toxins and removing them from the body.

Hi,For Histamine Intolerance and bucket-overload, with many symptoms, if I can afford to start with only one product, which would it be? If I get both the Medi Plus and the Medi Pure, how do I dose together? For the skin suspension, is it suitable for huge face breakout on acne-prone skin? Thanks!

Hi there,

That's your choice. All the Toxaprevent products contain the same binder: MANC Zeolite Clinoptilolite which is what mops up and binds to the histamine in the body. However, they work in different areas of the gut. The sachets work in the Upper GI whereas the Capsules work in the Lower GI. So it's all down to where in the body where you would like to start detoxing first.

The protocol is as follows, we recommend following this daily for at least three months. However, you may need to take longer depending on your histamine levels. What you will notice is, as you take Toxaprevent daily your histamine symptoms will begin to decrease.

• 1 hour before your first meal of the day. Take three x Toxaprevent Medi Pure Capsules (The red box) with 300ml of water
• 2 hours after your final meal of the day. Take three x Toxaprevent Medi Pure Capsules (red box) with 300ml water.
• 2 hours after your final meal of the day. Mix one x Toxaprevent Medi Plus Sachet (The purple box) into 300ml water and drink.
